Trainer, Organiser, Contributor
I have worked in bioinformatics- and genomics-related roles since 2000 in both the UK and Australia. I am currently based at QFAB at the University of Queensland, from where I run bioinformatics training courses to help research biologists across Australia make better use of genomics-based data and resources. I also support Bioinformatics Resource Australia – EMBL and the Genomics Virtual Lab, providing outreach, training and community engagement for these national bioinformatics infrastructure projects. My previous experience includes positions in academia, industry and not-for-profit genomics organisations. I have more than twenty academic publications and have developed a number of open source and corporate bioinformatics tools.
